At Teta, we strive to provide the best AI-powered development experience. We understand that sometimes a service may not meet your expectations, which is why we offer a fair and transparent refund policy.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are available under the following conditions:

Eligible for Refund

You may request a refund if:
  1. Technical Issues: You experienced significant technical problems that prevented you from using the platform as intended
  2. Service Disruption: Major service outages or interruptions that affected your work
  3. Billing Errors: You were charged incorrectly or multiple times
  4. Feature Discrepancies: Advertised features were unavailable or non-functional

Usage Limitations

Due to the high computational costs of AI services, refunds are only available if:
  • Less than 5% of your plan’s tokens have been used, OR
  • Less than 500,000 tokens have been consumed (whichever is lower)
Example:
  • Pro plan (6M tokens): Refund available if used < 300,000 tokens (5%)
  • Pro+ plan (12M tokens): Refund available if used < 500,000 tokens (capped)
  • Max plan (50M tokens): Refund available if used < 500,000 tokens (capped)

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases: ❌ Change of mind after extensive usage ❌ Usage exceeding the 5% or 500k token threshold ❌ Violation of our Terms of Service or Fair Usage Policy ❌ Account suspension due to abuse or misuse ❌ Requests made more than 14 days after the initial charge

Why This Policy?

AI services incur substantial costs:
  • Computational Resources: Each AI interaction requires expensive GPU/TPU processing
  • Model Access: Access to premium models (Claude, Gemini, etc.) has direct costs
  • Infrastructure: Real-time preview environments, cloud resources, and data processing
  • Operational Costs: These expenses are incurred immediately upon usage
Once tokens are consumed, the associated costs cannot be recovered. Our policy ensures fairness while protecting the sustainability of the service.

How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund, follow these steps:

1. Check Your Usage

Before requesting a refund:
  1. Go to Settings > Pricing/Subscription
  2. Review your token consumption
  3. Verify you’re within the eligibility threshold (< 5% or < 500k tokens)

2. Gather Evidence

Prepare documentation of the issue:
  • Screenshots of errors or problems
  • Dates and times of service disruptions
  • Description of technical issues encountered
  • Any relevant error messages or logs

3. Submit Your Request

  • Detailed description of the issue

4. Review Process

Our team will:
  1. Review your request within 2-3 business days
  2. Verify eligibility based on usage and issue details
  3. Request additional information if needed
  4. Process refund if approved (5-7 business days)

Refund Processing

Approved Refunds

If your refund is approved:
  • Full refund to the original payment method
  • Processing time: 5-10 business days
  • Access to paid features will be revoked
  • Unused tokens will be forfeited
  • You may downgrade to the Free (BYOK) plan

Alternative Options

Before requesting a refund, consider:

1. Downgrade Your Plan

If you’re not using enough AI interactions:
  • Downgrade to a lower tier
  • Takes effect at next billing cycle
  • No refund needed for current cycle

2. Contact Support First

Many issues can be resolved:
  • Technical problems can often be fixed
  • Usage optimization tips can reduce token consumption
  • Feature guidance can improve your experience

3. Use BYOK (Bring Your Own Keys)

If you’re unsatisfied with paid plans:
  • Switch to the Free (BYOK) plan
  • Use your own API keys
  • Full platform access (except preview environment)

Billing Cycle & Cancellations

Canceling Your Subscription

You can cancel anytime:
  • Go to Settings > Billing
  • Click β€œManage” to access the billing portal
  • Cancel subscription
  • Access continues until end of billing period
  • No refund for remaining days

Automatic Renewal

  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly
  • Cancel before renewal date to avoid charges
  • Token limits reset on renewal date

Fair Usage Policy

To prevent abuse:
  • Multiple refund requests may result in account review
  • Repeated cancellations and resubscriptions may be flagged
  • Suspected abuse may lead to account suspension
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to users who violate this policy

Special Circumstances

Technical Failures

If Teta experiences major technical issues:
  • We may proactively issue credits or refunds
  • Affected users will be notified via email
  • Compensation will be proportional to the disruption

Force Majeure

No refunds for issues outside our control:
  • Third-party API outages (Claude, Gemini, etc.)
  • Internet service provider issues
  • Natural disasters or acts of God
  • Government restrictions or regulations
